Realization of an hydraulic micro turbine for the recovery of energy losses in hydraulic plants. The turbine, with an embedded flow regulation system, can be employed in complex water network systems performing both the roles of flow regulation and electric energy production. The energy recovery can also be made downstream of wastewater treatment systems, according to the cost of the pipes delivering the treated water in the receiving water body. The development of a special discharge regulation system has allowed a consistent reduction of the manufacturing cost and the achievement of high levels of hydraulic efficiency. This turbine can be employed in mini hydroelectric power plants with an electric power less than 1 MWh.
